Summer in Japan

I've been back for a week, and I'm craving sashimi and ito en jasmine tea. Also, I'm cursing the heat and humidity here lol

We stayed right beside Ueno station ~

First stop, Ginza:

Famous clock tower that Godzilla destroyed in the movie lol

Amazing lunch at the outer market~ Look at the amount of roe on that donburi!

Crossed the rainbow bridge to get to Odaiba~ (literally... the bridge is named Rainbow Bridge haha)

Kinda bummed that we didn't have enough time to go to Pallet Town though

HAKONE

We took the train from Tokyo to Hakone, and stayed there for 2 days. It's a mountainous region and the towns are far apart so we had to spend a lot of time travelling. We bought a transport pass which was about SGD50, which is super worth it cos the bus rides cost an average of SGD10 :O We could also use the pass to take the railway, boat and cable car, so yayy hahaha

The scenery was so beautiful and the air was so fresh ~

five fifteen

The month just flew by?!?! Only 2.5 more months of freedom ヽ(T-T )ノ
I'm back here to immortalize some memories on the internet~
(sidenote: omg so happy I figured out how to edit my html code to make my pictures clearer on blogger yayy)

I went out with Grace on her birthday!!! We just had dinner and talked and shopped, nothing super special, but still meaningful. So thankful for this friend who is incredibly beautiful and strong.

Aaaand... Tiff's birthday was exactly 1 week later! Tiff couldn't meet up with us, so Grace and I planned to put her present in her mail box / outside her gate so that she would find it when she came home. But... as we were tying the balloon to the gate, Tiff's car suddenly drove up to the gate !!!!! Hahaha #fail :(

AAANNDDD.... Bel got confirmed on 23 May!!! I'm so happy we have God in our lives, I really don't know how we'd cope if we didn't. He has not only drawn us closer to himself, but also to each other. I'm so happy that Bel relies on His guidance when she is troubled or stressed, because the relief He brings is sweeter than any other~

Southern Islands

Yesterday Grace and I went to St. John's and Lazarus island for a picnic, and to take some photos! The island was so beautiful and I love that it's relatively untouched by modernization (except for some litter :(). Whoever says that Singapore is boring and that there's nothing to do here is so wrong, you just have to look in the right places~

There were so many cats on St. John's island, and they were so adorable *_* I died and went to cat heaven ฅ(˘ω˘ )ฅ

The ferry back also stopped at Kusu island on the way back to the mainland and let us explore for an hour. By then Grace and I were so tired and sunburnt that we just sat down on a bench and drank our ciders haha. 

It was a great day! So thankful for great company too :) Off to nurse my sunburn now haha

How can I make someone's day today?

I truly think that it is in small actions that we can show love, and I believe that love is meant to be shared. I cannot keep the love that has been given to me, I have to pass it on. Of course I cannot say that I wash someone's dishes everyday but also beat the person, that is not love, and it is silly to believe that the small things I do can 'make up' for the large amount of harm I may inflict. So my goal will be to do small things with great love and refrain from hurting others.

I have decided that I will try making someone's day everyday, be it a friend or stranger. I will also try to be more patient and understanding, judge less and compromise more. I know this has been my resolution for the longest time, and it is proving to be extremely difficult to fulfill, but now that it's out here permanently seared on the internet, I hope I will have more motivation to accomplish it! (Please scold me if I am not being patient and understanding and being judge-y instead lol)

My journey so far has obviously not been easy. Especially when I work at OTT. Sometimes I think that place is cursed lol because every time I work there I feel myself getting so easily annoyed at everybody (customers mostly). And it's strange because I don't feel that way once my shift ends and I don't have to deal with customers from hell anymore. I know what I have to do: put myself in their shoes, they are giving us business by eating there so I should do everything I can to make them comfortable and happy. But it is so difficult when they are so rude and inconsiderate to us. T_T

As I was growing up, they constantly told me that they loved me, but their actions said otherwise. It wasn't until I truly looked at my friends and their relationships with others that I realised there was more to love than fear and repayment; that when someone truly loves you, they don't ask for anything in return, nor do they insult you or do things that make you feel afraid to be yourself. I feel like I owe everything to the people that I've met along the way. My friends who have stuck around probably notice the constant change and growth in me. I feel that because of them, I am not scared anymore, I feel free, and maybe that is what relationships are supposed to feel like: free.

Under the weather

Recently I've been feeling terrible :( My immune system is down and everyday I feel like I'm on the verge of developing a fever and I have to drink gallons of water just to keep my sore throat at bay. But exams are over and my weak body is not going to stop me from having fun! ～♪

I met up with Grace and Tiff to discuss our plan to go to Batam, and even though it didn't really work out, it was great to catch up with them! 

Plus we had some delicious chirashi don and sushi at The Sushi Bar ~

.... and dancing all night hehe ~

Quite sad that the 3 of us (Charis, xh and I) didn't get a good photo that night :"( especially since it was Charis' first time clubbing (° o°)! It was a great night though, first time I felt so happy when I got high haha usually I'll be really depressed. Must be *best friends therapy* :)

And super happy that I FINALLY got to see Ally and Su ~

Paddy Hills

Here is a quick post because I need to take a break from studying phew! Mum, dad, Bel and I went to Paddy Hills for brunch this morning and I am in love with the lighting there, it is amazinggg! Even my lousy samsung camera could capture really nice pictures.
