Art museum

It's the last day of the summer holidays nuuuuuu T_T and also the last day I can spend just bumming around surfing the net, writing blog posts and editing photos :((((

But I'm super thankful for the holidays mainly because I got to spend a lot of time with Glen and build our relationship before he goes to army and I get busy with schoolwork~ I also got to check many things off my bucket list :)

On Friday Bel and I went to the SAM cos it was a public holiday for the jubilee weekend so we were finally both free at the same time haha

Random strangers' feet lolol (Where did he get his superstars?!?!?! They're always sold out T_T)

So pretty! (partly due to my great photography skills hehehe)

Bel really looks like Jane from Daria here! But she disagrees.....

Taken inside the exhibition....
I thought the exhibits were pretty lame but I was glad that Bel enjoyed them~

The photobooth was the main reason we wanted to go! But the pictures turned out badddd hahaha
It's $2 for 2 strips~

Sigh ok time to go.... pack my school bag.... :"( Sad that my freedom is ending, but it's going to be a great semester ahead!!!

Tiong Bahru

This week I went to Tiong Bahru to walk around and take photos (⑅˘͈ ᵕ ˘͈ )
But the weather was SO HUMID and I barely walked around for an hour before I started being sweaty and grumpy and gross oop

I only took a few photos with my phone camera and I thought they were all pretty bad, but it's amazing what cropping and editing can do hahaha so here they are~

Tiong Bahru Bakery aka my bread heaven

Spotted a surly-looking cat! He was so beautiful though~

Then we walked to Havelock Road to The Tastemaker Store for some respite from the heat and my favourite matcha latte~
Got some photo editing tips from Bel and turned that lady's pink t-shirt to grey hehehe
And that cactus flower pot is the cutest :o

"If friends were flowers I'd pick you"

After that, we went to run some errands and then had dinner at Kallang Wave mall.
I had such a wonderful day~

✧ Social night ✧

By a twist of fate (i.e. Joshen's friend needed a date), I ended up having my wish come true... I went for OCS social night!!! I really enjoyed it! Dunno why some girls complain when they are asked, so awkward, too boring, such a burden blah blah.. hi please be grateful that you are asked, some people never even get the chance. Hahaha

With my date for the night, Yi Geng :)

Yayy photobooth~ "I came for the cake" LOL
but not joking the cakes were really nice!

With Yiling! Thank goodness for her, if not I would've felt a little uncomfortable haha

I also met Cait there! Couldn't get a proper photo of our full outfits cos... guys' photo-taking skills... LOL
So our faces will have to do~

Even though I didn't know Yi Geng prior to that day, I felt really proud to be his date. He's an instructor in OCS and whenever people called him 'sir' it felt a little special to be by his side hahaha.
I had a great night, and I'm so thankful for the opportunity~*:・゚✧

food food food

Woww I'm updating my blog so frequently now! Anyway July has been a vicious cycle of earning money and then proceeding to spend it on food (evidence below) LOL

Aburi salmon rolls at Sushi Tei~ chirashi don there sucked though

Dazzling cafe feat. disappointing belgian chocolate mochi waffles

Paris Baguette with my besties ~~

Hvala waffle bar! At first I thought this was pretty worth it at $3.50, but then I realised how small it actually is.... #ohwell

Finally went to Sunday Folks with Bel to satisfy my craving for the ice cream and konnyaku jelly <3

Staff meal from Toss & Turn! I took it out to the boardwalk to eat after my shift ✧( ु•⌄• )

Five and Dime with Gen! Food was meh~ Got called basic for ordering all the most popular dishes lol.

Dinner/ tea with the turtlesssss~ Omg the waffles at Roosevelt's Diner are really nice! (or maybe it's just cos I have perpetual waffle cravings lol)
Whenever I go out with them, all of us always end up going to great lengths to take instagram-worthy pictures of our food, and I'm so glad that I can do this with them and feel totally comfortable about it haha. Cos my other friends and family always say I take too many pictures of the food and that I'm embarrassing them lol  (⌣_⌣”)

Here is a picture of Coco(a) to end of this blogpost so that it doesn't seem like my life is just eating and working..... (even though it pretty much is heh)

June diary

Here are some random pictures taken last month~

Strangers' Reunion has the most delicious waffles I've ever tasted!

Picnic with my favourite sister <3

Bingsu at O'ma Spoon, which wasn't as nice as Nunsaram's.
I had bingsu 3 times in the span of 1 week...... but who's complaining? Hahaha

Sushi Burrito~ Cheaper version of Kilo at Pact's sushiro, but probably equally delicious~

We had an extended family (sort of) dinner at an izakaya restaurant on Boon Tat street. It was delicious but I think we spent more than a small fortune there :/
My 2nd favourite--chazuke! (sashimi is my no. 1 hee)

Matcha tofu~

June was such an emotional rollercoaster. I hate how I always compare, I hate myself for envying people. And I really hate myself for wanting things that I don't deserve.
But I'm working on it, so here's to a better July :)

All the time, everywhere

"Don't worry or fear about your future, or even your present circumstances. He's in control. He's always in control. Breathe."

Today I saw this picture and caption on my instagram, and they struck me almost to tears. I know it seems silly that this could make me so emotional, but these are the words I really needed to hear, even if they were coming from a stranger on the other side of the world. (It reminds me of how amazing my God is, that He manages to sneak these little things into my life when I really need them. Things that are easily passed off as random or happenstance are actually so carefully and lovingly crafted by Him.)

Recently I've been worrying a lot. Probably because I'm so free now and have so much time to think about stuff.... and my mind always wanders to the future. I worry about graduating from uni, summer school, internships, finding a job, starting a family, having enough money and the list goes on. Some of these thoughts and prospects for the future scare me so much and I constantly worry that I don't and will never have the capabilities to be an adult in the harsh world.

Seeing this caption reminded me that God provides. He has always provided and will always continue to do so. Even when things seem to be going downhill in life, God always has His hands on the wheel and all we have to do is give our best and have faith, and God will do the rest. That doesn't mean that I stop worrying, it's made me realise that it's ok to worry (it means that I care), but I  just have to learn to entrust all my doubts and troubles to God, because He knows what He's doing.
